1. Who we are

CLEARgo GEO ("CLEARgo", "we", "us") is a GEO-SEO audit platform operated by CLEARgo that scores how visible and citable a website is to AI answer engines. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how it is stored, and how you can have it deleted.

Questions or requests: charles@cleargo.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and display name when you sign in (GitHub OAuth, Google OAuth, or email link), used to authenticate you and operate your account.
  • Audit data — the website URLs you submit for auditing, the resulting reports, findings, scores, and any content fetched from those sites while generating a report.
  • Analytics integrations — when you connect Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or Google Search Console (GSC) to a project, we store OAuth tokens (encrypted) and your selected property ID / site URL, and we read the analytics data described in section 4.
  • Third-party API keys — e.g. a Semrush API key you choose to connect, stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never returned by our API.
  • Usage data — standard server logs and product-usage metadata used to operate, secure, and improve the service.

3. How we use your data

  • To generate the audit reports, scores, and recommendations you request.
  • To sync traffic and search-performance data for projects you connect.
  • To authenticate you, secure the service, prevent abuse, and provide support.
  • To send transactional email (report links, notifications) via our email provider.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your data for advertising.

4. Google API data (GA4 & Search Console)

When you connect a Google account to a project, we request read-only access (analytics.readonly and webmasters.readonly scopes). Data received from Google APIs is handled as follows:

  • Limited use — Google user data is used only to provide the service you connected it for: reading GA4 traffic metrics and Search Console performance for your own projects, and listing your GA4 properties / Search Console sites so you can choose which one to link.
  • No sale, no sharing — we do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it for advertising, profiling, or credit decisions.
  • No human review — Google user data is processed automatically; our staff do not read it except where required for security, abuse prevention, or with your explicit request for support.
  • Encrypted storage — OAuth tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Synced metrics are stored per project and visible only to that project's members.
  • Revocation and deletion — disconnecting an integration deletes the stored credentials and revokes the OAuth token with Google. You can also revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page, and request deletion of remaining data via email.

CLEARgo GEO's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Service providers

We use a small set of processors to run the service: hosting (Vercel), database hosting, transactional email (Resend), and AI model inference (OpenRouter) for report summaries and fix suggestions. Audit page content may be sent to these providers solely to generate your report. Each provider processes data only on our instructions.

6. Retention

Audit reports and project data are retained while your account or project is active. Integration credentials are deleted immediately on disconnect. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (section 8).

7. Security

Credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Access to project data is restricted to project members, and administrative actions require elevated roles. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you.

8. Your rights

You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or export of your project data, by emailing charles@cleargo.com. Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days unless a longer retention is legally required.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions and security. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
